A rare opportunity to own your own Muonionalusta Meteorite Shooting Star!
This unique pendant is hand crafted in solid Sterling Silver incorporating a square of rare Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite. The Muonionalusta meteorite is probably the oldest known meteorite, being billions of years old and named after the Muonio River. The inset Muonionalusta meteorite measures 10mm x 10mm and has a 3-micron coating of white gold to prevent any chance of oxidisation.
The Muonionalusta meteorite was discovered in Sweden in 1906 whilst two children were kicking at stones. One child suddenly struck an exceptionally heavy and rusty object – the children had accidentally discovered a meteorite. Having travelled through space for billions of years it crashed to earth around 1 million years ago.
The pendant is exceptionally stylish and totally unique and is the perfect gift for anyone with a love of space, astronomy, geology or palaeontology.
Dimensions: 19mm x 19mm
The pendant will be sent to you beautifully packaged with a certificate of authenticity, meteorite information card, jewellery pouch and silver cleaning cloth.
The pendant comes complete with an 18 inch Rope Chain with alternative options available. Matching earrings are also available in this range, along with a selection of Muonionalusta Meteorite cufflinks.
