Moonstone is a Feldspar mineral exhibiting a soft, watery opaqueness and a silvery-white reflection. Its name is derived from a visual effect, sheen or schiller, caused by light diffraction. Moonstone is named for its moon-like sheen and it is the birthstone for the month of June. These moonstone earrings are surrounded with a band of 925 Sterling Silver allowing the back of the stone to be visible.
